Hermann Schuster (District Assembly President)

Herrmann Schuster (born May 10, 1937 in Buchenhain / Bukowina , today Poiana Micului ) is a German local politician of the CSU and from 1986 to 1998 the district council president of Upper Bavaria .

Life

Hermann Schuster was born as an ethnic German in Bukowina and came to Bavaria after the Second World War . After graduating from high school and studying civil engineering and architecture, he ran an independent engineering and architecture office until 1976. From 1976 to 1990 Hermann Schuster was the full-time mayor of the municipality of Kirchheim near Munich , from 1974 to 1986 he was district councilor for the district of Upper Bavaria and from 1986 to 1998 district council president of Upper Bavaria.

Because of his involvement in the so-called pleasure travel affair, he had to resign as district council president in 1998.

Since 2009 he has been chairman of the Bavarian regional association of the Danube Swabian Landsmannschaft .
