Erwin Filser

Erwin Filser (* 16th March 1940 ) is a German local politician of the CSU from apple village in the district of Landsberg am Lech and 1998-2000 District tags president of Upper Bavaria .

Life

The farmer's son Erwin Filser was Mayor of Apfeldorf from 1972 to 1984 . From 1984 to 2002 he was District Administrator of the district Landsberg am Lech to its merits include the renovation of the Lechtalbads, the county nursing homes, an innovative system of waste disposal in the district as well as the establishment of a Psychiatry at Klinikum Landsberg. From 1974 to 2002 he was also a district councilor for the district of Upper Bavaria and from 1998 to 2000 district council president of Upper Bavaria. In addition, Erwin Filser held numerous honorary positions, e. B. as district chairman of the Bavarian Red Cross .

In 1995 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon by the Bavarian Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber for his great commitment to local politics .

Because of the involvement in the so-called pleasure travel affair, which had already cost his predecessor Hermann Schuster the office, Erwin Filser had to resign as district council president in May 2000. He was also involved in the scandal surrounding the arms dealer Karlheinz Schreiber . He did not run for the 2002 district election.
