Hermann Steinkamp
Hermann Steinkamp (born November 11, 1938 in Gelsenkirchen-Buer ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian , pastoral psychologist , pastoral sociologist , religious educator , trainer for group dynamics and teaching supervisor , university professor .
Career
Hermann Steinkamp received his doctorate in philosophy at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in 1966 with a thesis on personalism in Jacques Maritain's social philosophy , followed in 1972 in Würzburg at Julius-Maximilians-Universität , the doctorate in theology with Wilhelm Dreier with a thesis on Group dynamics and democratization. Ideology-critical and socio-ethical studies on empirical and applied small group research .
From 1975 to 2004 he was Professor of Pastoral Sociology and Religious Education at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . In addition to his academic work in research and teaching, Steinkamp is also active after his retirement as a trainer in the group dynamics section of the German Working Group for Group Psychotherapy and Group Dynamics (DAGG) and as a teaching supervisor in the Group Organization System section of the German Society for Pastoral Psychology (DGfP) .
The inner connection between these two areas of work consists in the fact that faith can be re-opened through personally interpreted experience ("situational proclamation") (H. Steinkamp) (cf.
