Hermann Willmann

Hermann Willmann (born March 25, 1875 in Bieren ; † May 17, 1973 in Hanover ) was a German baker and politician .

Life

Willmann, who was of the Lutheran denomination, did an apprenticeship as a baker and was an independent master baker in Hanover from 1897 to 1919.

In 1903 Willmann joined the men's choir of the Hanover Bakers' Guild , of which he was a member until 1973.

In 1907 Willmann was a co-founder of the Hameln yeast and spirits factory , for which he took over the position of chairman of the supervisory board in the same year .

From 1910 he was guild board member, from 1911 to 1945 he was head master of the compulsory bakers' guild in Hanover and head and chairman of the buying and selling cooperative of independent bakers and confectioners in Lower Saxony and later honorary chief master.

From 1930 and until 1935 Willmann served as the Chamber of Crafts President of the Chamber of Crafts in Hanover .

From January 1930 to April 27, 1931 he was a deputy and then until April 1933 a regular member of the Prussian State Council for the Province of Hanover . He was non-party and in 1931 joined the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft" faction in the State Council. During the time of National Socialism he became a member of the NSDAP .

He was chairman of the Northwest German Crafts Association, board member of the Reichsverband des Deutschen Handwerks, board member of the Hanover Chamber of Crafts and member of various supervisory boards.

In 1954 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.

Hermann Willmann was an honorary member and holder of the Golden Badge of Honor for German Crafts .
