Frans Wilhelm (Vilhelm) Odelmark (born February 8, 1849 in Västervik , Småland , Sweden , † November 20, 1937 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish genre and architecture painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Odelmark studied painting at the Stockholm Art Academy . From 1870 to 1875 he lived in Düsseldorf , then until 1880 and from 1882 to 1884 in Munich and later in Stockholm. Study trips took him to Austria , Italy and Spain . In coloristic oil , pastel and watercolor painting , he mainly created vedute , genre-like street views and interiors , especially with folk , Venetian and oriental motifs.
