Hernán Giraldo Jaramillo

Hernán Giraldo Jaramillo (born October 21, 1936 in Manizales ) is former bishop of Buga .

Life

Hernán Giraldo Jaramillo was ordained a priest on August 15, 1964 . Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Pereira and titular bishop of Alexanum on June 27, 1984 .

The Bishop of Cartago , José Gabriel Calderón Contreras , consecrated him bishop on August 6 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Alberto Giraldo Jaramillo PSS , Bishop of Cúcuta , and Darío Castrillón Hoyos , Bishop of Pereira .

On July 7, 1987, he was appointed Bishop of Malaga - Soatá . On January 19, 2001, he was appointed Bishop of Buga . On May 10, 2012, Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
