The Herrenstrasse 2 building in Naumburg , a town in the south of Saxony-Anhalt and the administrative seat of the Burgenland district , is a protected monument .

history

The main building dates from the 16th century, the side wing in the courtyard was built in the 17th century.

description

The three-storey, plastered house with a saddle roof , which was built in 1883, has a colored seat niche portal. The window walls are profiled. The bay window over two floors is decorated with a relief depicting a laurel tree held by two men. The year 1645 underneath refers to the pharmacy privilege granted by Elector Johann Georg I for the former Mohren pharmacy , which the pharmacist Lorbeer acquired in 1735.

Furnishing

The barrel vault and a chamfered round arch portal with stone walls have been preserved in the cellar . On the ground floor there is a groin vault and pillars with diamond ashlar. Doors from the 17th century, baroque stucco ceilings and the spiral staircase have been preserved on the upper floors .
