Hilde Hetzler-Wender

Hilde Hetzler-Wender (* 1918 in Wallerfangen ; † 1969 in ibid. ) Was a German painter and ceramist .

Life

Hilde Hetzler-Wender attended the Lyceum in Saarlouis from 1923 to 1934 and was then a member of Professor Oskar Trepte's drawing class at the State Art and Applied Arts School in Saarbrücken until 1936. From 1937 to 1938 she attended the state ceramic school in Höhr-Grenzhausen . After working occasionally as a draftsman at Villeroy & Boch in Mettlach under the direction of her father from 1935 , she took over the management of the painting studio from 1939 to 1964 as her father's successor. In 1954 she illustrated the Saarland school book Come, we read . In 1963 she married Robert Hetzler and from 1964 she worked as a freelance ceramicist in a studio in Sengscheid , St. Ingbert .
