Behind the door is a short film directed by Neco Çelik ("Urban Guerillas", "Everyday Life").

The film was produced in 2004 by Berlin producer and actor Erhan Emre ( 36Pictures ). "Behind the Door" had its cinema premiere on October 30, 2004 at the Hof Film Festival . The main roles are played by Richy Müller and Jale Arıkan .

"Behind the Door" is about a Turkish woman living in Berlin-Kreuzberg without a residence permit who is targeted by an investigator who tracks down so-called illegal aliens. The working title of the script was "The quiet girl". The idea for the story by Jens Teutsch-Majowski is based on an article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung by Juan Moreno on the Berlin page from 1999.
