The Hintere Michlbachspitze ( 2905 m above sea level ) is a mountain peak in the Gschlößkamm of the Venediger group in the north of East Tyrol (municipality of Matrei in East Tyrol ).
Location and promotion opportunities
The Hintere Michlbachspitze is located in the south-east of the Gschlößkamm between the Dabernitzkogel ( 2965 m above sea level ) in the northwest, the Raneburgkogel ( 2925 m above sea level ) in the east and the Vorderen Michlbachspitze ( 2821 m above sea level ) in the south. The Hintere Michlbachspitze is separated from the Dabernitzturm by the Dabernitzturmscharte ( 2874 m above sea level ), which is only a little to the north, while the Michlbachscharte ( 2750 m above sea level ) marks the transition to the Raneburgkogel to the east . The south ridge to the Vorderen Michlbachspitze, on the other hand, runs relatively flat downhill. The Dabernitzkees lies north of the Hinteren Michlbachspitze between Dabernitzkogel and Raneburgkogel .
The Hintere Michlbachspitze is an insignificant mountain peak in alpine terms. The normal ascent runs pathless from the Frosnitz Valley via the "Innere Dabernitzach" high ground to the summit. The north ridge from the Dabernitzturmscharte was first climbed by F. Malcher on July 17th, 1920. This ascent option has easy climbing spots ( UIAA I ).
