The Hirschkopf near Weinheim in the Rhein-Neckar district of Baden-Württemberg is 345.7  m above sea level. NHN high elevation in the Odenwald .

The Hirschkopf rises on the western edge of the Odenwald above the Bergstrasse between the town of Weinheim in the southwest and the municipality of Birkenau in the east. About five hundred meters to the north is the Saukopf, which is only a little higher, and to the south the mountain drops into the Weschnitz Valley .

Summit area

On the summit of the Hirschkopf stands the listed Hirschkopf Tower , a 15 m high observation tower built in 1870 , from which there is a wide view over the Weschnitz Valley, the Odenwald and the Rhine Plain as far as the Palatinate . In addition, the Weinheim transmitter is located on the southwest slope of the Hirschkopf to supply the city of Weinheim with radio programs.
