Hjørring Kommune was from 1970 to 2006 a municipality in Nordjyllands Amt , Denmark .

It was created in 1970 by merging the town of Hjørring with the parishes of Bjergby-Mygdal , Vrejlev-Hæstrup , Mårup , Sankt Hans-Sankt Olai , Skallerup-Vennebjerg and Tårs . In 2007 it became part of the "new" Hjørring municipality .
