Pandrup Commune

Pandrup Municipality was a municipality in North Jutland on the northwest coast of the Jutland Peninsula in Northern Denmark until December 31, 2006 . The municipality had an area of ​​190 km² and 10,676 inhabitants ( 2005 ).

Other towns and villages in Pandrup municipality are Blokhus , Hune, Saltum, Kås, Vester Hermitslev, Ingstrup, Moseby and Jetsmark.

Neighboring municipalities were Brovst in the southwest, Aabybro in the south, Brønderslev in the east and Løkken-Vrå in the northeast. To the west is Jammer Bay , followed by Skagerrak .

On January 1, 2007 , the municipality of Pandrup was merged with the municipalities of Brovst , Fjerritslev and Aabybro to form the new Jammerbugt municipality due to the municipal reform . This new municipality has an area of ​​863 km² and a population of 38,864 ( 2005 ). It is part of the new region of Nordjylland .
