Arden Kommune was until December 2006 a Danish municipality in what was then Nordjyllands Amt in northern Jutland . Since January 2007, together with the former municipalities of Hadsund , Hobro and Mariager (excluding the electoral district Havndal), as well as the school district Hvilsom of the municipality of Aalestrup and the town of Hannerupgård of the municipality of Nørager, it has formed the new municipality of Mariagerfjord .
Arden municipality was created in the course of the administrative reform of 1970 and included the following Sogn :
