The Hochtaunusstraße runs for around 55 kilometers across the Taunus from Bad Homburg vor der Höhe to Bad Camberg .

In Altweilnau the road leaves the Weiltal and leads via Riedelbach to Bad Camberg.

In addition to the transit route, a number of secondary routes (tourist routes) are signposted. The eastern tourist route runs over the Saalburg to Neu-Anspach . Further stations are Brombach , Merzhausen and Oberlauken . In Emmershausen the road reaches the Weiltal and leads back to the main route via Rod an der Weil .

The western tourist route leads via Oberursel, Kronberg and the Opel Zoo to Königstein . From there it goes up to the Feldberg and via Niederreifenberg and Seelenberg into the Weiltal back on the main route.
