The Hohbäumle is an elevation in the Füramoos suburb of the Eberhardzell municipality in the Biberach district in Baden-Württemberg .

location

The mountain is at a height of 715.5  m above sea level. NHN - after the buses located 30 km north-north-west ( 766.7  m above sea level ) - the second highest elevation in the Biberach district outside the Swabian Alb . The elevation is in the district of Eberhardzell , one kilometer north of Füramoos , above the district road 7568 to Fischbach. The summer linden tree (Tilia platyphyllos) was planted around 1860 and designated as a natural monument in 1993 .

On a clear day you can see Zugspitze , Säntis , buses and the Ulm Minster from this vantage point . The south weather station recommends the mountain as a vantage point in foehn locations , next to the Black Ridge and others.

The mountain is surrounded by the headwaters of two rivers. To the southeast below the mountain, the Füramooser Ried is the origin of the Rottum , which flows into the Danube . Southwest of the mountain is the headwaters of the Umlach , a river that flows into the Riss after 20 km and then into the Danube.
