Hohes Tenneck

The Hohe Tenneck is a 2435  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Hochkönig massif in the Berchtesgaden Alps . It is located in the Salzburg municipality of Werfen and forms the main summit of the mountain range that runs from the middle of the high plateau of the Übergossene Alm north to the Blühnbachtal . The Hohe Tenneck lies between the Seichen in the west and the Wasserkar in the east. To the northwest is the Eckberthütte in Tennboden at the head of the Blühnbachtal. The ridge coming from the Fliegerköpfl ( 2370  m above sea level ) to the south runs north to the Niederen Tenneck ( 1672  m above sea level ).

The Hohe Tenneck can be reached without a path from the Übergossene Alm (not difficult ). The climbs from the Ostpreußenhütte and the Wasserkar require easy climbing ( I-II ).
