Holger Mühlbauer-Gardemin (born January 28, 1962 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German graphic designer and visual artist .

Career

Holger Mühlbauer-Gardemin grew up in the naval port city of Wilhelmshaven . He discovered his penchant for art in childhood. Mühlbauer received training as a graphic designer. After working for several publishing houses and agencies, he started his own business in 1996. He still works in his profession today and is the owner of the "Mühlbauer Design im Pförtnerhaus" agency, whose residence, the gatehouse of the former naval clothing office, serves as the agency's namesake. He has been represented with several exhibitions since 2012 and is considered a newcomer in the art scene. He is married to Julia Gardemin, a granddaughter of the doctor Herbert Gardemin .

style

In Mühlbauer's works, various art directions merge with one another: POPART , FOTOPOPART, digital / analog art or a mixture of those elements to form mixed media . Mühlbauer does not want to commit to a clear style in order to give each picture an individual note. Mühlbauer strives to entertain the viewer in order to make the underlying content level accessible through humorous, satire-like stylistic devices and components.

Works

On the occasion of the 75th birthday of Hans Peter Korff , who gained notoriety in particular through the ZDF series " These Drombuschs " in the role of Siggi Drombusch, Mühlbauer portrayed the actor together with his wife, Christiane Leuchtmann .

For the Wilhelmshaven Sailing Cup held in Mühlbauer's hometown, he was chosen as Cup Artist of the Year 2017. Traditionally, a picture chosen or specially made by the artist adorns the participation certificates. Mühlbauer decided on his artwork "AHOI", which in abstract form depicts a sailor with maritime insignia such as B. Whistle, hat with anchor, sailing ship with Jolly Roger shows.

The Hannover Art Show (November 2017) represents a milestone on Mühlbauer's career path, where he was able to present his works for the first time together with top-class artists such as Picasso , Warhol and Beuys . Mühlbauer-Gardemin received special media attention in the WirtschaftsWoche through the sale of his work "The Firebird" to his namesake, managing director of the Bundesverband für IT-Sicherheit e. V. (TeleTrust) Dr. Holger Mühlbauer. In the variety of colors in the picture, a trademark of Mühlbauer-Gardemin, Dr. Mühlbauer found a parallel ("common denominator") between the effect of the work and the range of skills of the association he led.
