The Holzbirrliberg is a range of hills in the canton of Aargau in the Swiss Plateau .
geography
As the southern branch of the Heitersberg , it separates the Reuss valley from the Reppisch valley and the Wüerital . To the south of Arni and Hedingen , the hilly landscape touches the Jonenbach valley .
The municipality of Berikon is located north of Oberwil-Lieli on the ridge of the Holzbirrliberg .
The highest point at 674 m above sea level. M. is located in the forest area north of Lieli, on the border with Berikon and 200 m away from the border with the canton of Zurich .
Small streams such as the Ziegelbach drain the western mountainside towards the Reuss .
Surname
The name of the mountain is derived from the tree designation " wooden pear ", which is represented in the coat of arms of the municipality of Oberwil-Lieli by a tree with thirteen golden pears.
