The Holzhauser Bruch is a nature reserve in the area of the city of Bad Salzuflen in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Lippe .
location
The protected area borders in the southwest to the protected area " Werre Niederung and oats Bach " (LIP-082) in the southeast of the settlements sand and old wood Hausen , on agricultural areas, the near future by the Federal Highway 239 from location to highway access at Herford on new route should be crossed as a bypass for Holzhausen, and in the west to the nature reserve " Heipker See " (LIP-019).

It is an area with forest on a fen site , the edge of the terrain to the valley and the natural course of the Werre river , which meanders here strongly and represents the western border of the area. The river has a fringe of riparian woodland, Hochstaudenfluren and shore reeds on and steep banks. There are gravel and sand banks in and on the river itself.
