Hop field soil
The hop field floor is an area in the northern part of the Obersulzbachtal near Neukirchen in the Salzburger Land at an altitude of 1080 m above sea level. A.
geology
The hop field soil is a location for calcite and euxenite- (Y) . Since the ores are close to the surface, many amateur geologists can be found in this area. Every year new material falls out of the wall due to rockslides.
The naming of vaterite as the only place of discovery in Austria goes back to an incorrect determination.
tourism
A car park at Hopffeldboden can now be reached via a paved forest path, which can also be used by private car, from Blausee ( ⊙ ) not far from the Sulzau district , and serves as a starting point for hikes in Obersulzbachtal:
Hut taxis can continue to the Berndlalm ( 1514 m above sea level ) and the Postalm ( 1699 m above sea level ), two huts that are open during the summer months. Other huts are the Hofrat-Keller-Hütte , Schiedhofalm , Poschalm , Obersulzbachhütte , Kampriesenalm and Kürsingerhütte .
You can cross the Obersulzbach on a steel suspension bridge at Hopffeldboden.
Above the end of the valley, there are several high-alpine crossings for mountain hikers into the neighboring valleys:
- to the east over the Kürsingerhütte and the Zwischenensulzbachtaltörl into the rearmost Untersulzbachtal
- to the southeast over the main Alpine ridge below the Kleinvenediger to the Neue Prager Hütte and further into the East Tyrolean Tauern valley ( Felber Tauern )
- to the south to Obersulzbachtörl: there is a convenient transition point from the south to the north side of the Venediger group and thus also into the East Tyrolean Virgental
- to the southwest over the Krimmler Törl and the Warnsdorfer Hütte into the Krimmler Achental upstream of the Salzach
Furthermore, the Bettlersteig from the Berndlalm connects the Obersulzbachtal with the Untersulzbachtal .
