Hornstorf is a district of the Lower Bavarian city of Straubing .
history
The place belonged to the Hofmark Hornstorf / Sossau of the Windberg Monastery , which was dissolved in 1803 in the course of secularization .
Until December 31, 1971 Hornstorf was an independent municipality in what was then the district of Straubing with the two districts of Sossau and Hornstorf and a municipality area of 391 hectares .

Hornstorf is located in the Gäuboden north of the Old Danube in the north of the Straubing urban area. The Agnes-Bernauer-Brücke and the Schloßbrücke connect Hornstorf to the center of Straubing via Gstütt .
