Horst Schauß (born November 6, 1945 in Saarlouis ) is a former German football player .


From the youth of SSV 1920 Schmelz , the game and sports club from the town of the same name in the Saarlouis district , Schauß played from the age of 19 to 22 at 1.FC Saarbrücken in the Regionalliga Südwest and won after completing his first season in 1964 / 65 , the first title. In 1967 he moved to Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and played his first game on September 13 (5th matchday) in a 3-0 home win over Karlsruher SC . His first goal - already in his second Bundesliga game - he scored on September 16 (6th matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the away game against Borussia Neunkirchen with the goal in the 76th minute. After six league and two European Cup games , on September 20 against Panathinaikos Athens (5: 0) and on November 14 at Vitória Setúbal (1: 1), Schauß returned to Saarbrücken.

In 1970 he moved first to the Regionalliga West for Bundesliga relegated Alemannia Aachen and two years later back to the Regionalliga Südwest for FK Pirmasens . He stayed there for only one year and finally joined league rivals Borussia Neunkirchen in 1973 , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga South at the end of the season, as champion of the Regionalliga Südwest, and in which he scored six goals in 36 of 38 games .

After another change within the league, he was active for two years for SV Röchling Völklingen and four years for VfR Bürstadt . He played his last league game on May 30, 1981 (38th matchday) in a 1-0 win in the away game against SpVgg Fürth . Schauß played 198 second division games and scored 28 goals.
