Horst Uhlemann
Horst Uhlemann (born January 9, 1928 in Bamberg ; † August 20, 2011 in Kulmbach ) was a German publisher . From 1968 to 2003 he was the managing director of the Baumann GmbH + Co KG publishing house in Kulmbach.
Life
Horst Uhlemann was born in Bamberg in 1928 as the son of the publisher Hilde Uhlemann , the daughter of the publisher's founder Ekkefried Caspar Baumann . On July 1, 1968, he succeeded his mother in the management of the publishing house. Under his aegis, the parent company was substantially modernized with the newspaper Bayerische Rundschau and a large web offset printing company. With the purchase of the Coburger Tageblatt and stakes in the local radio stations Radio Plassenburg in Kulmbach and Radio eins in Coburg as well as the Internet subsidiary ONCOM , the business area was expanded.
At the beginning of 2003, Uhlemann retired after celebrating the company's 100th anniversary and sold the company to the Franconian Day in Bamberg.
