Horstmar Kohl

Horstmar Kohl (* 1927 ) is a former German diplomat . He was the GDR's ambassador to the People's Republic of the Congo , Cameroon and Chad .

Life

Kohl studied from 1960 to 1964 at the German Academy for Political Science and Law in Potsdam-Babelsberg . He completed his studies as a social scientist.

Since 1964 he worked for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the GDR (MfAA). Among other things, he worked for the cultural department and the East and Central Africa department at the MfAA. From 1977 to 1979 he worked as the ambassador's deputy and from 1979 to 1984 as ambassador of the GDR in Brazzaville . From 1988 to 1990 Kohl was the last ambassador of the GDR in Yaoundé . From 1989 he was second accredited in Chad.
