Hospital Church

The hospital church "Zum Heiligen Geist" in Erfurt used to belong to the so-called " Great Hospital ", which was located outside the city near the Krämpfertores. It was built from 1389 in place of the inner-city Martinshospital. Towards the end of the 19th century the hospital was abandoned and the church and several other buildings were rededicated as museums. Even today it is no longer used for church purposes.

The famous Johann Georg Schröter once built an organ for this church .
