Hub is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Oberndorf an der Melk in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria .

Until 2020 it consisted of the localities Oberhub and Unterhub.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 133 building areas with 45,975 m² and 31 gardens on 108,815 m² in the cadastral municipality of Hub , in 1989/1990 there were 164 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 245 and in 2009/2010 there were 189 buildings on 306 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 618 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 79 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 749 hectares and 97 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 733 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 109 hectares. Hub's average soil climate number is 40.6 (as of 2010).
