Hubert Barbier
Hubert Marie Pierre Dominique Barbier (born August 4, 1932 in La-Chaize-le-Vicomte , Département Vendée , France ) is Archbishop Emeritus of Bourges .
Life
Hubert Barbier was ordained a priest on September 18, 1955 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Noba and auxiliary bishop in Annecy on October 6, 1980 . The Bishop of Luçon , Charles Paty , ordained him episcopal on December 13 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Jean-Baptiste Sauvage , Bishop of Annecy, and Jean-Charles Thomas , Bishop of Ajaccio .
On May 19, 1984 he was appointed Bishop of Annecy. On April 25, 2000, John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Bourges. Pope Benedict XVI On September 11, 2007 he accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
