Hubert Jacob Esser
Hubert Jacob Esser (born July 21, 1843 in Neuss , † April 22, 1925 in Göttingen ) was a university lecturer, veterinarian and member of the Reichstag .
Life
Esser took the Matura exam at the Quirinus-Gymnasium Neuss and passed the veterinary state exam and the exam for civil servants, as well as the medical doctoral exam. He was a university professor in Göttingen and director of the Veterinary Institute from 1875 to 1921.
From 1887 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 12 Göttingen , Duderstadt , Münden for the National Liberal Party .
By 1913 at the latest, Esser had been promoted to the rank of secret medical council , acted as first chairman of the southern Hanoverian warriors 'association and as district inspector for southern Hanover of the warriors' medical columns of the Red Cross .
