Hubert Lenz

Hubert Lenz SAC (born July 30, 1952 in Kassel ) is a German philosopher and theologian .

Life

After graduating from high school (1971) he joined the Pallottine community and studied philosophy and theology at the Pallottine universities in Untermerzbach and Vallendar . After graduating with a theological diploma in 1978, he was ordained a priest. From 1978 to 1982 he was chaplain in Augsburg and Limburg an der Lahn . He completed his additional philosophical studies (1982–1988) in Munich with a Magister (1984) and a doctorate (1988) in philosophy on Bernhard Welte with Jörg Splett . In November 1988 he was awarded the Alfred Delp Prize. He had a two-semester teaching position for systematic philosophy in 1986/1987 at the PTH Vallendar . From the winter semester of 1988 he was a lecturer in systematic philosophy at the PTH Vallendar with regular courses in anthropology , metaphysics and the philosophical doctrine of God. The Vallendar Faith Courses started in 1992. Since 1993 he has been creating his own course materials. Since 1993 he has taught as a professor at the PTH Vallendar. From 1994 to 2002, in addition to his professorship, he managed and built the newly built Forum Vinzenz Pallotti conference center, both organizationally and conceptually (including reconstruction after the major fire in August 2000). Since autumn 2002 he has been released from work alongside the professorship for faith course work. Since May 2003, he has been leading and establishing the Ways of Adult Faith project center as a member . Since the winter semester 2003/2004, the teaching assignment at the PTH has been expanded to include evangelizing pastoral care for adults .
