Hubert Walter (anthropologist)
Hubert Walter (born April 14, 1930 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ; † December 6, 2008 ) was a German professor of anthropology at the University of Bremen .
Life
Walter graduated from high school in 1950 . He then studied in Kiel . In 1962 he became a private lecturer at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz , and four years later he was appointed professor there. In 1971 Walter was appointed Scientific Councilor and professor at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. From 1974 until his retirement in 1995 he was Professor of Anthropology and Human Biology at the University of Bremen.
