Hugo Gilmer

Hugo Gilmer (born January 7, 1822 in Wimpfen , † July 4, 1871 in Birkenau ) was a Hessian landowner and politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Hugo Gilmer was the son of the church councilor Heinrich Ludwig Gilmer (1783–1863) and his wife Louise Christine Sophie Elisabeth , née Freein von Gemmingen-Guttenberg-Bonfeld (1788–1834). Gilmer, who was Protestant, married Margarethe born Reinig (1840–1905) on May 16, 1864 in Birkenau.

From 1841 Gilmer studied economics at the University of Gießen and later became a landowner on the Haselhof near Birkenau.

From 1862 to 1865 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 9 / Fürth . In the estates he represented liberal-conservative positions.
