Hugo Jacobsson (born January 12, 1997 ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Jacobsson, who starts for the Falun Borlänge SK , ran his first races in the Scandinavian Cup in Östersund in January 2013 , finishing 232nd in the 15 km freestyle and 211th place in the sprint. His best placements at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2015 in Steg were eighth in the sprint and fifth in the mixed relay. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , he was sixth in the sprint and fifth in the relay. The following year he came at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Soldier Hollow to 11th place in the sprint and eighth place with the relay. In March 2017 he became the Swedish junior sprint champion in Kalix . He made his debut in the World Cup in January 2019 in Dresden , which he finished in 53rd place in the sprint. At the U23 World Championships in Lahti in 2019 , he ran to 49th place in the 30 km mass start race, 46th place over 15 km freestyle and 21st place in the sprint. In February 2019 he got his first World Cup points in Cogne with the 24th place in the sprint. At the beginning of April 2019, he and Oskar Svensson became Swedish champions in the team sprint in Gällivare .
