The Hulas Motors Pvt. Ltd. is a company founded in 1994 in Biratnagar , Nepal and a subsidiary of the Indian Golchha Company . It was the first automobile manufacturer in Nepal until 2016 . Since 2016 only spare parts and electric rickshaws have been manufactured.

Companies

Between 1994 and 2016, Hulas Motors produced five self-developed vehicles in various model variants in Nepal. All essential vehicle parts came from other manufacturers in the Golchha Company group . The largest supplier was Hulas Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. After several months of production stoppage as a result of the earthquake in Nepal in 2015 and problems with the changeover from Euro I to Euro III emissions standard , production of vehicles with internal combustion engines was discontinued at the end of 2015. The state of Nepal had set a deadline of 2 years for this in 2014. Attempts to get a delay were unsuccessful. By that time, 1,400 vehicles had been sold in Nepal. Hulas had 14 dealers and 150 service stations. The Nepalese Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai also drove a Mustang from Hulas. From 2016 only spare parts and under the new brand name Hulas-e electric rickshaws will be produced from purchased components.

Hula's Sherpa

The Hulas Sherpa is an off-road vehicle based on the Land Rover . For driving a four-cylinder makes diesel - four-stroke engine of the type TC490Q . With a displacement of 2540 cm³, the output is 42.6 kW. The manufacturer specifies the turning radius as 6 meters. Mini-V

The two minibus sister models Hulas Mini-V and Hulas Mini-ev . The entry-level model is the Porter , a commercial vehicle designed for two passengers and a maximum payload of 750 kilograms . mustang

The Mustang is an off-road vehicle based on the Jeep Wrangler and Hummer with up to 12 seats depending on the model version. For driving the four-cylinder used already in the Sherpa makes diesel - four-stroke engine of the type TC490Q . With a displacement of 2540 cm³, the output is 42.6 kW. The tank holds 60 liters. The model was available from 2003 to 2016 in the versions Mustang Mini-V Mustang V2 , Mustang V2 Pick-Up , Mustang Max Jeep , Double Cab Carry and Mustang V2 Max .

The Hulas Cargo is a three-wheeled open pickup truck.

Rickshaw

The Hulas-e Rickshaws are three-wheeled open pickup trucks with an electric drive and a range of up to 160 km. They will be offered from 2015 in the model variants Nano Rickshaw and City Rickshaw .
