Baburam Bhattarai (born May 26, 1954 in Belbas , Khoplang ) is a Nepalese politician of the United Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) .

Life

Bhattarai studied at Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu , Chandigarh College of Architecture , School of Planning and Architecture and Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi . At the end of August 2011, he succeeded Jhala Nath Khanal as Prime Minister in Nepal. In March 2013 he was replaced by Khil Raj Regmi .

Bhattarai is married to Hishila Yami.
