Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli , also KP Oli ( Nepali खड्गप्रसाद शर्मा ओली; * February 22, 1952 ) is a Nepalese politician. He has been Prime Minister of Nepal again since February 15, 2018 .

In February 1970, Oli became a member of the Communist Party of Nepal. From 1973 to 1987 he was imprisoned for his political activities. Oli was Interior Minister in the Adhikari cabinet from 1994 to 1995 . In 2006 he was Foreign Minister of the Nepalese interim government. Oli was elected chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (United Marxist-Leninists) (CPN-UML) in 2014. In 2014 Oli won against his internal party counterpart Jhala Nath Khanal with 98 to 75 votes. His hometown is Jhapa, Nepal. He represented her in the 2013 Constituent Assembly as a CPN-UML candidate.

From the elections for the second constituent assembly on November 19, 2013, the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML emerged as the clear winners. From October 11, 2015 to August 4, 2016, Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli was Prime Minister of Nepal. He has held this office again since February 15, 2018.
