Humaitá , officially Portuguese Município de Humaitá , is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul . Its population was estimated at 4788 as of July 1, 2018 and has been declining for several years.
Surrounding places are Boa Vista do Buricá , Bom Progresso , Campo Novo , Crissiumal , Nova Candelária , Sede Nova and Três Passos . The distance to the capital Porto Alegre is 473 km. Humaitá is part of the Riograndens tourist region Rota do Yucumã . It can be reached via the BR-472 federal road and the RS-207 transverse highway .
Population development
The slump between 1980 and 1991 is due to the spin-off of the Distrito Sede Nova , which in 1988 became the independent Munizip Sede Nova . Source:
