The Humber was a British reconnaissance vehicle that was used in World War II .
description
The first three versions of the Humber were armed with a 15mm version of the Besa machine gun and a coaxial Besa machine gun. The Mk II received modified armor, the Mk III version a larger turret to accommodate an additional soldier.
In 1942 a 37 mm cannon was introduced with the Humber IV, for which the turret had been modified. The Humber IV had sloping armored walls on all sides, whereas the tower was comparatively angular. It was fast and agile due to its four-wheel drive. That is why the Humber was used in North Africa, Europe and even after the war. A version with a quadruple Fla-MG was also built. Canada also built it under license as the Fox I with a 15 mm MG.
