Morris CDSW
The Morris CDSW 6x4 was a six-wheeled artillery tractor , which was derived from the Morris C-Type and was first produced in 1935 for the British Army .
Here it was mostly used to pull the 18-pounder rapid-fire field cannon and the 4.5-inch rapid-fire howitzer . Both were later supplemented by the 25-pounder rapid-fire cannon howitzer and later completely replaced.
In 1939 the CDSW AA started with a modified chassis and engine from the Morris CVF and was used to tow the 40mm Bofors guns in the Light Anti Aircraft (LAA) regiment. There was also a version of the CDSW with a crane attached. In its main function, towing the 25-pounder, it was replaced by the Morris C8 from 1939 . The CDSW AA was powered by a six-cylinder petrol engine with 60 hp and was also available in a version for the fire service . Like the Morris C8 , the CDSW was used on all fronts of World War II as well as in the Korean War . And like this one, production ended in 1945.
