The Austin K5 was a heavy British military truck manufactured by Austin Motor Cie. built in World War II .
The K5 was used with an open driver's cab and superstructure and a QF-6 pounder anti-tank gun "Portee" installed on it in the African campaign or with a closed driver's cab for the General Service (GS). Closed body versions were used in the UK for rescue and evacuation purposes.
A total of 12,280 copies were produced from 1941 to 1945.
