The Austin 50 hp was the top-of-the-line automobile produced by Austin Motor Cie. manufactured in the last few years before the First World War . The car appeared in 1910 as the successor to the 60 hp model as a touring car (on the short chassis). The following year, the Pullman limousine (on the long chassis) was brought out instead of the touring car .

The side-controlled six-cylinder engine had the cylinders of the 18/24 hp model with a bore diameter of 105 mm and a crankshaft with the same stroke (127 mm) as this model, but six cranks. This resulted in a displacement of 6522 cm³. In 1911 the cylinders were bored out to 111 mm; the crankshaft stayed. This resulted in the cubic capacity of 7373 cm³.

In 1914 the large four-cylinder 30 hp model appeared as a successor.
