The Austin A99 was an upper-mid-range four-door sedan manufactured in 1959 by Austin Motor Cie. as the successor to the Austin A95 . At the same time, the Wolseley 6/99 was also produced with the same body, but a slightly more powerful engine (117 bhp / 86 kW).
The six-cylinder engine was increased in performance compared to its predecessor and had 2912 cm³ displacement and 112 bhp (82 kW). It drove the rear wheels and brought the car up to 161 km / h. The body was designed by Pininfarina in the then modern trapezoidal line.
In 1961 the A99 model was replaced by the Austin A110 .
