The Austin K2 / Y was a heavy British military ambulance produced by Austin Motor Cie. built in World War II . The construction was popular with the British, American and also with troops from the Commonwealth of Nations. In the rear superstructure of Mann Egerton , ten injured people could be seated or four stretchers could be transported. A total of 13,000 Austin-K2 / Y ambulances were built, of which a little more than 50 still exist today.

As the Austin K2 , the model was produced as a civilian truck and panel van from 1939 to 1945 . As with the K2 / Y, a six-cylinder 3462 cm³ gasoline engine was used, which allowed a top speed of 80 km / h to be achieved. The successor Austin Loadstar was produced from 1949.
