The Austin 30 hp was the top-of-the-line car produced by Austin Motor Cie. manufactured in the first years of the First World War . The car appeared in the first year of the war in 1914 as the successor to the 50 hp model as a touring car (on the short chassis) and Pullman sedan (on the long chassis).
The side-controlled four-cylinder engine had the cylinders of the 18/24 hp model with a bore diameter of 111 mm and the crankshaft with the largest stroke of 152 mm ever realized at Austin. This resulted in a displacement of 5,883 cm³.
At the end of 1916, production of this model was stopped without a successor.
