The Morris Sixteen was a car of the upper middle class , which the Morris Motors in 1936 as a successor to the Oxford 6 brought out.

This successor was initially also sold as Oxford 6 , later renamed Oxford 16 , and finally the name Oxford was dropped entirely. The Morris 16 had, like its predecessor, a side-valve six-cylinder engine with 2062 cc capacity, all four wheels were suspended by semi-elliptic springs. The vehicles were available as four-door sedans.

In the year of its appearance, the model was replaced by the Morris Eighteen with a more powerful engine.
