The Morris Commercial PV = Van Parcel Van was the first pickup truck in front handlebar to the construction method Morris Motors produced from the 1939th It was based on the Morris CVF forward control truck . The panel van had two sliding doors at the front and two rear wing doors. It was specially developed for door-to-door delivery and had a payload of 760 to 1000 kg. The two-part windshields were again divided in height so that the upper part could be opened for fresh air without sitting directly in the airstream. The drive was taken over by a four-cylinder petrol engine with 2050 cm³ and 31 kW / 42 hp at 3250 rpm. The engine had overhead valves and a triple bearing crankshaft. A Solex downdraft carburetor was responsible for the mixture preparation and the power was transmitted to the rear axle by means of a four-speed manual gearbox via a cardan shaft.

Due to the outbreak of the Second World War, production had to be discontinued just a few months after the start in favor of war production after 52 copies.

Production after the war 1946–1953

Production was resumed in January 1946. From 1947 onwards, a Lockheed hydraulic mechanism was used for the foot brake as well as for the steering. Hydraulic shock absorbers were also installed and the two front windows were now one-piece. Its price at the end of production in 1953 was £ 434 ex-works. During this time, over 15,700 copies were made, which was a great success at the time. The successor was the Morris LD Van introduced in 1952 .
