The Hungerbach is a right tributary of the Altmühl near Treuchtlingen in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia .

The Hungerbach rises at an altitude of 460 m above sea level. NN in the area of the municipality Langenaltheim between Höfen in the southwest, Altheimersberg in the northeast and Rutzenhof in the northwest. Initially it flows steadily in a northerly direction parallel to federal highway 2 . South of Dietfurt in Middle Franconia, the river turns to the southeast. The Hungerbach empties at an altitude of 407 m above sea level. NN southwest of Dietfurt from the right into the Altmühl.
