Huta Wielka (German Albrechtswalde ) is a village in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in north-eastern Poland. The place belongs to Gmina Zalewo in Powiat Iławski .

Huta Wielka is located in the moraine landscape of the Oberland , about twelve kilometers southeast of Zalewo. The place is located near the Jezioro Dauby (German Dubensee ).

Albrechtswalde was founded in 1714 by the tribunal councilor Johann Albrecht von Schönaich in the southern part of the Schnellwalde district. He wanted to consider all of his children in the year he died and therefore founded:

" 1. A new village, called Schönaich, holds 15 hubs, 2. A Vorwerk, called Herrlichkeit, 3. 2 villages, called Albrechtswalde and Leusnersberg . "

The name Albrechtswalde is derived from the name of his son Albrecht.

In the 19th century Albrechtswalde had the status of a rural community . It was in 1874 in the newly built office district Weepers in county Morag incorporated, after its dissolution in 1882 in the District Auer. In 1928 Albrechtswalde was incorporated into Schnellwalde, but it was not until 1929 that the Albrechtswalde district was released from administrative affiliation with the Auer district and (like the rest of the Schnellwalde community) incorporated into the Karnitte district.

After the incorporation into the Polish state, Albrechtswalde was renamed Huta Wielka (literally "big hut"), in June 1945 it was joined to Gmina Zalewo and in 1946 to Gmina Boreczno . Between 1952 and 1973 Huta Wielka formed a gromada in the powiat Morąski . The place has belonged to Gmina Zalewo since 1973 and is also looked after by the Duba Schulzenamt .
