Hydrotoxin - The Bomb Ticking Inside You is a thriller by Christian Duguay , produced in 1992.

Danny O'Neil is an explosives expert with the FBI. Two US senators are killed by explosives without any traces of an explosive being found. One of the perpetrators can be arrested. At the beginning of a trial against him, Danny watches as the judge drinks from a glass of water, explodes and kills the accused. Together with an explosives expert, he finds out that this odorless and colorless explosive explodes if it comes into contact with stomach acid. Thus it can be hidden in any drink or food, which makes it very dangerous.
The two senators who were killed had pushed through a law on weapons and received bribes from a Russian terrorist. But there is also Senator Frank Traveres, who is now on the hit list. He has an affair with Danny's wife, Terry O'Neill. The marriage of the two has been in deep crisis since their daughter drowned in the pool. Danny prevents a suicide attack on the Senator by one of the terrorists who drank the explosives at an event. The Russian terrorist attacks the senator, who still owes him $ 10 million, in his house. Danny can kill his accomplices with homemade bombs. When the police arrive, the terrorist takes the explosives with Terry hostage, but Danny is able to save them.
At the end of the film you see a good-looking and happy Danny who, while a car bomb is being defused, is told that his wife is finally ready and lying in the delivery room. Danny runs to the car so as not to miss the birth of his child.
