Christopher Greenbury

Christopher Greenbury (born September 24, 1951 in England , † January 3, 2007 in the United States ) was a British film editor .

Life

Greenbury's career in film editing began as an assistant editor in the early 1970s. His first film as a stand-alone editor was Muppet Movie from 1979.

The movie Dumb and Dumber , shot in 1994 , marked the first collaboration with directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly . Other joint projects followed, such as Crazy About Mary and Hard in Love .

Together with his British counterpart Tariq Anwar , he was in 2000 for his work on Sam Mendes ' American Beauty for the Oscar in the category Best Editing nomination. In the same year they both received the BAFTA Award . Greenbury had started working on American Beauty but then followed an offer from Peter and Bobby Farrelly to film. Anwar had finished editing the film.
